Today our peace practice is very active and a little silly. Moving your body and having fun together are both ways to help us reduce stress.
- Let’s take three, deep, peaceful breaths together.
- To begin, let's all stand up so we have a bit of room. Try to stay where we can all see each other.
- I will call out an animal, then we will all dance (walk/fly/swim) around the room like we are that animal—until I say FREEZE!
- Then we freeze until I call out the next animal. Ready?
- Elephant
- Rabbit
- Bumblebee
- Flamingo
- Goldfish
- Turtle
- Sea Ray
- Animal of your choice!!!
- Sharing:
- What did it feel like to dance around like an animal?
- When every one got to pick their own animal, what did you choose and why?
- This week:
- Sometimes taking time to be silly together can help us laugh, breathe, and relax.
- If you feel upset or frustrated this week, try asking friends or family to join you in an animal walk.
