Picture
Did you know colors have “power?” Red says “stop, pay attention, warning!” Yellow says “happiness, summer, warmth,” and blue has a calming power. Imagining blue can help us feel relaxed and peaceful. Let’s do some imagining with the color blue.
  • Let’s take three, deep, peaceful breaths together.
    • Breathe deeply, close your eyes, and picture the blue sky.
    • Now imagine the blue of the sky filling your mind and thoughts. Feel your thinking become calm and peaceful.
    • Imagine the blue traveling down your throat and calming your words and clearing out unkind thoughts.
    • Picture the blue spreading into your body and filling your heart with peace, soothing any hurt feelings.
    • Now the blue fills all of you right down to your toes, your whole body relaxes and is at peace.
    • Sit quietly for a moment and imagine yourself as blue and peaceful as the sky on a perfect summer day.
    • Open your eyes and try to keep that calm, blue feeling with you.
  • Sharing:
    • How did imagining blue sky filling you feel like peace to you?
  • This week:
    • Spend a few minutes each day imagining the blue sky in you. Allow your mind and body to feel at peace.
